British Airways Refund Policy
If a delay or cancellation lasting five hours or more significantly disrupts a connecting flight that you’ve booked under the same booking reference, with a planned connection time of 24 hours or less, and you have decided not to proceed to your final destination, the operating airline will arrange a return flight to your initial point of departure at the earliest viable option. Additionally, they will initiate a refund process for the unused segments of your journey.
Should you choose to claim a refund for the portions of your journey that you did undertake, it is necessary to demonstrate that the remainder of the journey no longer serves any purpose with regard to your original travel intentions. This refund claim must be submitted concurrently with the request for reimbursement pertaining to the unused segments.
To initiate the refund process, kindly adhere to the same guidelines as those provided for canceled flights.
A refund policy is a set of guidelines that a company follows to specify the circumstances under which a customer can receive a refund for a product or service they have purchased. This policy typically includes information on the timeframe in which a refund can be requested, the conditions that must be met for a refund to be granted, and the process for requesting and receiving the refund.
The purpose of a refund policy is to ensure transparency and fairness for both the customer and the company and to help manage customer expectations regarding product returns.
